If facilities are being provided then what’s the problem in perpetuating school routines. Or if not facilities then it’s just an absurd idea!
Schools provide the basic requisite knowledge at all levels of education and every institution needs to facilitate this with utmost care/adroitness. If a student can carry on his tuition in a chilling winter, that too specifically in the morning inclemency, then why not school, which is providing the facilities and organised education with proficient pedagogies. Authorities can also provide some winter perks/allowances to teachers and others which will enthuse and motivate them to work as hard as they can. Perquisites can prove to be very positive vis-à-vis teachers and must provide the due impetus. Nonetheless, if there isn’t any basic heating system available in the schools it can lead to severe counter productive results which will not serve the best interests of students as well as can have some harsh repercussions on their respected parents. Minus temperature seems to be the prima facie hurdle in actuating this productive initiative. On the other hand school timings can also play a pivotal role because if we look into the timings of tuition centres they mostly prefer aurora which is the most frigid time of the day to the moderate noon time. Sometimes we need to encourage the initiatory proposals and thoroughly examine their implementations so that we can form the basis of endorsing or rejecting them. If a teacher can initiate tuitions and that too in his working hours why can’t he perform his official duties and what epitome of professional ethics or morality he is setting? I have seen a lot of people who without any genuine justification criticize the plans and policies or often back them without knowing the facts at the grass root level. Keeping schools open amidst harsh winters cannot necessarily serve the purpose. We don’t have to think of only the city centric schools which do have some meagre facilities. But, we have to take the majority of the schools in consideration which are functional in rural areas. The schools which are without the windows, adequate matting and other prerequisite facilities can be inimical to this initiative. At last I must conclude it by articulating the fact that if students are being provided with the much desired installations then this policy will assuredly bring prosperity to students apart from that, it can prove to be a detrimental and otiose step which will take us nowhere!
